Eid ul Adha Likely on June 18 in Pakistan

Weather analysts predict that Pakistan is likely to celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 18, with the moon of Zil Hajj 1445 AH expected to be sighted on June 8.

The Islamic lunar calendar concludes with Zil Hajj, the month during which Muslims from around the world journey to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj in Makkah’s Grand Mosque and other sacred sites including Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

Eid ul Adha, marking the 10th day of Zil Hajj, is anticipated to be observed on June 18 in Pakistan, as per weather experts.

However, the final decision will be announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Pakistan.

Astronomers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have stated that the Day of Arafat, the ninth day of Hajj, will fall on June 16, with the Gulf country expected to celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 17.

Meanwhile, the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt has predicted the possible occurrence of the holy festival on June 16.
