Elsie Hewitt Reveals Reasons for Hating Pregnancy During Pete Davidson’s Baby Mom Essay

Pete Davidson’s girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, recently shared candid insights about her pregnancy journey in an essay for Elle. The model, who welcomed Scottie into the world in December 2025, detailed a challenging experience. Writing exclusively to Elle, she admitted that “for the most part, she hated being pregnant.” She described herself as feeling deeply uncomfortable and plagued by constant nausea, exhaustion, and pain.

Hewitt’s frustration was palpable when she shared her struggles via Instagram in November. She expressed discomfort, suspecting endometriosis was at fault for exacerbating her pregnancy woes.

“In choosing to be under the care of an OB-GYN rather than a midwife, I sought what felt like the most clinical approach,” Hewitt wrote in her essay. “While this method provided essential medical support, it did not align with my personal experiences or preferences.”

She reflected on navigating within a system often criticized for failing to listen adequately to women’s needs, particularly regarding health and safety during pregnancy.

After Scottie was born, Hewitt made an important decision about breastfeeding. She explained her reasoning: “When people asked whether I planned to breastfeed, my thought process was layered.” The most critical consideration was ensuring what was best for her baby. However, she also acknowledged that there were significant risks associated with formula feeding.

Hewitt described the physical challenges new mothers face even without additional responsibilities like breastfeeding. She stressed the importance of recognizing and addressing pre-pregnancy shame surrounding formula feeding practices.

Ultimately, Hewitt prioritized her mental health recovery over other concerns during this period. Her essay offers an intimate look at a challenging yet crucial decision she faced as a new mother, resonating with many women who navigate these decisions based on their unique circumstances and priorities.
