Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to embark on official visits to Pakistan, Russia, and Oman amid ongoing US-Iran talks. EU Council President Antonio Costa and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen have stated that it’s premature to discuss easing sanctions on Iran.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz added that EU leaders are open to gradually lifting sanctions if a comprehensive agreement is reached. Araghchi’s tour aims to assess regional developments, particularly the war situation. In Islamabad, he will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before proceeding to Muscat and Moscow for further engagements.
