EU Sanctions Israeli Settlers, Targets Hamas’ Politburo Members Over Palestinian Abuse

The European Union Council imposed sanctions on four entities and three individuals for alleged abuses against Palestinians in the West Bank. The targeted list includes extremist Israeli settlers and their supporting organizations.

In a separate statement, the Council announced it would broaden its sanctions on Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to include members of Hamas’ Political Bureau who promote, defend, or justify acts of violence.
