US Warns Oman Against Toll Imposition in Strait of Hormuz

The United States issued a stern warning to Oman on Thursday, stating it would not tolerate any attempt to impose a tolling system in the Strait of Hormuz. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant made this announcement via X.

Bessant emphasized that the US Treasury will aggressively target any actors involved directly or indirectly in facilitating such a system and warned that willing partners would face penalties.
