Experts Urge Attention to System Constraints in Pakistan’s Renewable Energy Agenda

In a webinar titled “Emerging Trends in Pakistan’s Renewable Energy Sector: Charting the Agenda for 2030 and Beyond,” organized by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Karachi, experts underscored the critical importance of addressing systemic constraints to effectively realize the country’s ambitious renewable energy plans.

Participants unanimously agreed on the imperative to tackle challenges arising from the sector’s growth, particularly focusing on reducing the volume of unserved energy and accommodating the intermittency of renewable sources. Key speakers highlighted existing hurdles in the power sector and stressed the urgent need for grid modernization alongside the seamless integration of renewable energy.
