Four independent winners from the recent Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections have joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP). The lawmakers joining are Muhammad Dilpazir from GBA-15 Diamer, Aman Ali from GBA-21 Ghizer-3, Anwar Ali from GBA-23 Ghanche and Asad Shafiq from GBA-24 Ghanche-3.

At a meeting with Aleem Khan, Dilpazir stated that the four successful independent candidates had collectively decided to join the IPP. He also mentioned that they are in contact with other independent members as well as candidates from the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM).

Dilpazir expressed confidence that the IPP would emerge as the second-largest political force in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, and efforts will continue to persuade more lawmakers to join. This development is expected to strengthen the party’s position ahead of government formation consultations.
