Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadiens marked his 900th NHL game with a standing ovation from fans during Tuesday night’s match against Boston Bruins. The 33-year-old veteran reached this milestone at Bell Centre, where he has spent his entire career since being drafted in 2010. Gallagher is now 13th on the franchise’s all-time games played list, alongside legends like Jean Beliveau, Maurice Richard, and Guy Lafleur.
During a first-period break, supporters rose to applaud Gallagher’s long-standing contribution to the team. Speaking before the game, Gallagher reflected on his achievement, stating he has tried to enjoy every year and appreciates what the team has done. He added that it feels fitting to reach this milestone against Boston, who are known as a dangerous team and will provide an exciting test for Montreal.
