Garcelle Beauvais Shares Emotional Divorce Story with Mike Nilon

Garcelle Beauvais, a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has spoken about the emotional impact of her divorce.

The divorce from Mike Nilon was driven by the need to protect her peace, according to Beauvais. She stated that ending her marriage in her 40s was never part of her plans and it was a difficult decision she had to make for herself.

Beauvais explained that staying in the relationship would have altered who she truly was. She did not want to become an anxious wife constantly asking where he was or why he was late, nor did she wish to raise their children this way.

The couple married in May 2001 and divorced in 2011. Beauvais previously revealed on RHOBH that she discovered her husband’s infidelity after finding text messages on his phone.

In a separate interview, Beauvais also discussed her decision to leave the show after five seasons. She felt she no longer had friends on the show and her spirit was not there anymore.
