Ghislaine Maxwell has seemingly confirmed the authenticity of an image featuring late Virginia Giuffre with then-Prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. In a new batch of evidence from Epstein files, it is revealed that Maxwell sent Jeffrey Epstein an email about the controversial photograph taken in March 2001 at her London residence.
The former Duke of York’s presence in Giuffre’s alleged assault occurred without her knowledge, as she maintained during a BBC Newsnight interview. In the 2015 correspondence with Epstein, convicted Maxwell is quoted “stating for the record as fact” that Prince Andrew came to her home and met Giuffre there.
Maxwell’s email reads: “In 2001 I was in London when (redacted) met a number of friends of mine including Prince Andrew. A photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.” She adds, “I am stating for the record as fact” before noting that Giuffre was present during her visit.
Epstein noted, “Her and Andrew?… what’s the deal here? Why is she there?” and added, “I was not aware of a massage with Andrew in my house.”
Maxwell emphasized: “These things have to stay, along with meeting Virginia and rebutting those allegations. I need it as soon as possible.” This comes amid urgent efforts by King Charles to vacate Prince Andrew from the Royal Lodge earlier this week.
