The All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported a significant increase in the price of gold in Pakistan, with a staggering rise of Rs2,750 per tola on Thursday.
Today’s surge brings the price of the precious metal to a record high of Rs228,150 per tola.
Similarly, the price of gold surged by Rs2,358 per 10 grams, reaching Rs195,602.
In the international market, the price of gold saw a notable increase of $26, reaching $2,174 per ounce.
Meanwhile, spot silver experienced a slight decrease of 0.4% to $24.08, while platinum dipped 0.3% to $904.83 per ounce, and palladium slipped 1.5% to $1,026.80 after witnessing a surge of more than 12% in the previous session.
