Gold Prices Surge to New High in Pakistan Despite Global Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan reached a new high on Friday, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs200 to settle at Rs262,000, despite a decline in international gold rates.

The price for 10 grams of gold also saw a rise, now standing at Rs224,623. This increase follows a Rs800 jump on Thursday.

In contrast, the international gold rate fell by $12 per ounce, settling at $2,492 per ounce, including a $20 premium. The price of silver in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
