Government Plans to Send 300,000 Youth for IT Training, 1,000 for Agricultural Training in China

The government plans to send 300,000 young individuals for vocational training in information technology and 1,000 for advanced agricultural training in China, prioritizing women and youth from remote and underprivileged areas.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in modern skills and professional education for the youth, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

In his message marking World Youth Skills Day, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s talented youth as the nation’s greatest asset, emphasizing the urgent need to equip them with modern skills to secure the country’s future.

Sharif outlined the government’s initiatives aimed at providing the youth with contemporary education, equal development opportunities, and advanced professional training. He stressed the importance of enabling Pakistani youth to compete on a global scale.

A key part of the government’s strategy involves sending 300,000 young individuals for vocational training in information technology and 1,000 for advanced agricultural training in China, focusing on women and youth from remote and underprivileged areas.

The Prime Minister noted that ongoing national training programs in information technology benefit millions of students both within and outside Pakistan, enhancing their skills and career prospects.

Additionally, the government has initiated reforms within the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to ensure that institutions provide marketable skills and professional training to thousands of young people.
