Sindh Governor, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, paid a visit to the Karachi Intermediate Board to address concerns surrounding the high failure rate among students. Seeking detailed information from Commissioner Karachi/Chairman, Governor Tessori emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for any mistreatment of students, asserting solidarity with the oppressed. He expressed deep concern over the 66 percent failure rate among Karachi students, attributing it to systemic issues within the education system.
During a media briefing, Governor Tessori underscored the need for improved communication and acknowledged the efforts of Commissioner Karachi in enhancing the board’s functionality.
Responding to queries, he announced a prompt scrutiny process for the exam papers of 10 students who secured 80 percent in matriculation. Governor Tessori assured that there would be no discrimination against parents, highlighting the shared concern of the Sindh Chief Minister on this matter. Regarding scrutiny requests, he mentioned that only 769 children have applied for review.
