Government Approves Spectator Access for PSL Playoff Matches
Following a stringent security review by top authorities, permission has been granted for fans to attend all three playoff matches in Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11. This decision was approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Monday.
Naqvi announced the news on social media, describing it as “good news” for cricket enthusiasts nationwide. He emphasized that fans should use public transport or minimize fuel consumption while traveling to stadiums, an austerity measure imposed by the government.
During the meeting at Prime Minister’s House, officials discussed the overall security situation, including arrangements for the PSL final. Sharif also praised Naqvi for effective security management during the recent Islamabad Dialogue.
Enhanced security measures will remain in place to ensure safety of players, officials and spectators, according to authorities. This decision comes after consistent public demand on social media for spectator access at remaining matches.
