Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Faces Legal Trouble Over Compliance Issues

Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness brand, Goop, is facing allegations of ADA violations. The lawsuit was filed in California federal court by Leemanuel Weilch, who claims to be paraplegic.

The complaint states that while attempting to enter the business for each visit, Weilch encountered barriers interfering with his ability to use and enjoy the goods, services, privileges, and accommodations offered at the Business. These include a lack of disabled parking spaces and an inaccessible access aisle due to multiple obstructions.

The lawsuit claims Goop is violating the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, which prohibits discrimination against individuals based on disability in the full and equal enjoyment of goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations.
