American supermodel sisters, Bella and Gigi Hadid, have announced a $1 million donation to support Palestinian relief efforts.
The sisters, who are of Palestinian descent, have been vocal critics of Israel’s aggression in Gaza and are now channeling their resources to aid organizations working on the ground.
The donation will be divided equally among four organizations: Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
These groups provide essential services such as food, medical aid, psychological support, and assistance for displaced families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Bella Hadid expressed her sorrow over the “devastating loss of the Palestinian people and the lack of empathy from government systems worldwide” in a recent Instagram post.
The sisters’ commitment to the Palestinian cause was further demonstrated when Bella attended the Cannes Film Festival wearing a dress made from a keffiyeh, a traditional Arabic cloth associated with Palestinian culture. She described the dress as “a beautiful way to represent the history, labor of love, resilience, and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery.”
The Hadid sisters’ donation aims to support the Palestinian people affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
