Actor Hajra Yamin joined Hassan Choudary on Buzz for a discussion about hierarchies and success in the entertainment industry. Yamin, who is set to premiere in the new hit series Doctor Bahu, discussed her accomplishments and shared advice based on her experiences.
She emphasized that importance should be given to actors regardless of whether they have big or small roles. “A lot of the times, I am a young character actor,” she said.
Yamin also addressed traditional hierarchies within the industry, stating that side characters often do not get over-filmed by main actors due to embedded mental rules among directors and others involved in the production.
She advised new actors to have confidence in themselves and their talent, asserting that they will not be overlooked. Yamin noted that some prefer a different approach to fame, focusing on business aspects of social media for casting opportunities.
However, she stated, “I’m not a business person,” concluding her thoughts by emphasizing the importance of being true to one’s art.
