Dry and intense heat has gripped Lahore and other parts of Punjab. The Pakistan Meteorological Department reports that the temperature in Lahore is currently around 32 degrees Celsius, with a maximum expected to reach 41 degrees during the day.
Weather experts predict the intensity of the heat will increase over the coming days, with warmer nights adding to discomfort. Minimum temperatures may rise from 26 degrees to about 28 degrees, increasing humidity and making the weather feel even hotter.
The Met Office warns that temperatures could touch 42 degrees Celsius by tomorrow. Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary sun exposure, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heatwave conditions.
