
Recent Heavy Rains Cause Widespread Destruction in Balochistan
Heavy rains have caused widespread destruction across most districts of Balochistan, including Quetta. According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 18 people have died and 17 others injured due to rain-related incidents.
The fatalities include 11 children and seven men, while the injured comprise 11 children, four women, and two men. The districts most affected are Zhob, Kohlu, Dakki, Jafarabad, Harnai, Kech, Kachi, Qila Abdullah, and Musakhel.
A total of 35 houses were destroyed, and 127 partially damaged during the heavy rains. Additionally, 65 sheep and goats were killed by lightning in Musakhel.
