Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch has stated that both PML-N and PPP rely on a hybrid system, accusing them of misleading the establishment and public. Speaking at a JI membership drive camp in Hyderabad, Baloch criticized the parties for approving constitutional amendments for military courts and extending the army chief’s tenure, yet now advocating for democracy.
He argued that opposition party claims have strengthened non-representative government and establishment powers without delivering on-ground breakthroughs. Baloch alleged both PML-N and PPP are “experts in fake wrestling,” providing unconstitutional services while deceiving the public and establishment to secure their interests.
Critiquing PPP’s Sindh rule, he said the party had ruined the province, enslaved people with wadera culture, and made life miserable for Sindhis. Baloch termed local government system as “powerless” for failing to provide basic facilities to citizens. Highlighting political crisis, he described Pakistan’s politics in deadlock, allowing establishment dominance unchecked, calling for replacing oppressive systems.
