Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leads preliminary results from Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly. PPP secures three seats, independents win two, PML-N and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen each secure one seat.
In GBA-1 Gilgit-1 constituency, PPP’s Amjad Hussain wins with 10,490 votes, Muhammad Shafiquddin of PML-N follows with 6,245 votes. In GBA-2 Gilgit-2, Hafeez-ur-Rehman leads PPP’s Jamil Ahmed.
GBA-3 sees independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas victorious with 7,877 votes, Aftab Haider Advocate of PPP second with 7,361 votes. In GBA 4, Muhammad Ali Akhtar wins with 7,530 votes, Ayub Waziri follows with 6,491 votes.
In GBA 5, independent candidate Jahangir Shah wins with 1,108 votes, Javed Ali Manwa of PML-N second with 838 votes. In Hunza constituency, Neknam Karim leads with 5,612 votes, Imtiaz-ul-Haq of PPP second with 4,540 votes.
In Skardu-1, Syed Tauqir Mehdi of PPP wins with 4,337 votes, Raja Jalal Hussain Khan of Utsharq Pakistan Party second with 3,891 votes. In Skardu-2, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen’s Kazim wins with 10,474 votes, PPP’s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah second with 10,118 votes. In Skardu 3, Fida Muhammad Nashad of PPP wins with 6,314 votes, independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem second with 6,106 votes.
