
PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Authorities have identified the suicide bomber who carried out an attack at a wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan. The investigation has led to the identification of Abdul Rehman, a 21-year-old man.
CCTV footage from the venue revealed that Abdul Rehman entered the area during celebrations and remained undetected amidst the crowd until he approached the rear room where elders were present. Moments before detonating his explosive device, he left the main gathering to conceal himself within the sanctuary of tribal dance festivities.
The blast in the rear room killed Abdul Rehman along with five others, including local elders who had gathered there for a peaceful meeting. The explosion also injured several other individuals.
The attack occurred during the wedding ceremony of Noor Alam Mehsud’s nephew, signaling a tragic event that has shocked the community. Local police are currently investigating the incident and have initiated an ongoing case against security agencies to prevent further disturbances in the region.
