Inter-Madaris Sports Festival kicks off in Peshawar

The Inter-Madaris Sports Festival, organized by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Directorate of Sports, officially commenced on Friday. The event features eight teams from various madaris, with four teams each competing in football and cricket.

Football matches are being held at Tahmash Khan Football Stadium while cricket matches take place at Gymkhana Cricket Stadium. Director Hayatabad Sports Complex Salim Raza inaugurated the festival, accompanied by Jamshid Baloch, Mufti Faiz, Kashif Farhan, Faisal Javed, Yusuf Afridi, and Arshad Khan.

Players receive kits, daily allowances, and necessary facilities. Mufti Faiz serves as Organizing Secretary for the event. The closing ceremony will be held at Tahmash Khan Football Stadium with Director General Sports Tashfeen Haider as chief guest.
