The Secretary of the Interboard has been designated as the primary liaison to support the National Cyber Crime team in addressing any suspected leaks of intermediate exam papers circulating on platforms such as WhatsApp and other social media channels.
This appointment follows a request from the Cyber Crime Unit in Karachi, which urged the board to enhance coordination by naming a dedicated contact. In response, the Chairman of the Interboard formally notified the National Cyber Crime and Investigation Agency (NCCIA), also confirming the creation of a six-member cyber raid team tasked with probing potential breaches.
A spokesperson for the cyber unit reported that no incidents of paper leaks were detected during the first day of exams. However, authorities noted that any future complaints received by the board would trigger an immediate joint investigation at the relevant examination centre.
Crucially, action will only be initiated if the board secretary submits a written notification to the cyber team, as per the agreed protocol.
