Internet Disruptions Across Pakistan Due to Fault in Global Submarine Cable SMW4

Internet services are experiencing disruptions in some areas of Pakistan due to a fault in the global submarine cable SMW4.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued an alert regarding the issue.

A PTA spokesperson stated that the fault in this cable could result in slower internet speeds during peak usage hours.

The SMW4 cable is one of seven submarine cables that connect Pakistan to the global internet infrastructure

Efforts are underway to identify and rectify the problem. The PTA is closely monitoring the situation to ensure that internet broadband services are restored as quickly as possible.
