Violet Grohl, the daughter of Dave Grohl, prepares to release her debut album ‘Be Sweet to Me’ on May 29. She has addressed being labeled a “nepo baby” in an interview with The Forty-Five.

She stated that doors have been open for her due to her last name and she doesn’t hide behind this privilege or take offense when called out.

Violet, who has heard the term ‘nepo baby’ since she was 13, said it’s “whatever” to her. She hopes people will eventually give her a chance.

Despite these criticisms, Violet is grateful for her upbringing and feels privileged to be around musicians in an environment that nurtures her passion for music.

She urges listeners to attend her live show to decide for themselves if she’s worthy of a career in the industry.
