Iran, Pakistan Deepen Ties on 46th Revolution Anniversary

H.E Hassan Nourian, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, stated that in recent years, security, energy, and trade relations between Iran and Pakistan have seen significant improvement. Particularly, both countries’ officials have worked to enhance border security measures. He was speaking at a ceremony held at the Iranian Consulate in Karachi to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Revolution.

The event was attended by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, former Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, provincial ministers, politicians, businessmen, industrialists, and city dignitaries.

Consul General Hassan Nourian further stated that the victory of the Iranian Revolution is a historic day, as it marks the triumph of the Iranian people 46 years ago when truth and justice prevailed. He added that despite global sanctions, Iran has made remarkable progress in the fields of economy, education, and health. Strong fraternal relations exist between Iran and Pakistan, with both neighboring countries sharing many values, including religion. He emphasized that both nations will continue to work together for the betterment of the region and the world.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori remarked that the Iranian Revolution became the voice of the oppressed worldwide, with the great leader Ayatollah Khomeini playing an unforgettable role in this struggle. His services will be remembered forever. He added that Iran’s foreign policy is based on the principles and values of Islam, which rejects foreign aggression and supports the integrity of nations. Iran and Pakistan have always stood by each other in difficult times, and their relations will continue to grow stronger in the future. Muslim countries are ready to work with the world, but the world must also respect the sentiments and beliefs of the Muslim world. He assured full cooperation to enhance trade between Pakistan and Iran.

During the event, the national anthems of both countries were played, and a cake was cut to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Revolution.
