Police spokesperson reveals details of 597 search operations carried out across different areas of the city during the first quarter of 2026.
Operations Targeted Suspected Criminals, Undocumented Individuals
During these operations, police checked 57,961 people and inspected 25,025 households to ensure compliance with regulations.
Authorities Also Inspected Shops and Hotels
In addition, 19,343 motorcycles and 6,884 vehicles were examined during the search operations.
Suspects Detained, Weapons and Narcotics Recovered
As a result of these operations, 3,383 suspects—including 362 Afghan nationals—were detained and shifted to police stations for further investigation. Police reported recovery of various weapons and narcotics including Kalashnikovs, rifles, shotguns, hashish, heroin, methamphetamine (ice), and liquor.
