
Israel’s military intensified its attacks on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Friday, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure. The Iran-backed group claimed direct clashes with Israel’s forces in the country’s south.
The UN refugee agency warned of a deepening humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, risking catastrophe. Lebanon entered the conflict after Hezbollah fired rockets towards Israel following the US-Israeli killing of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on March 2.

Hezbollah claimed its fighters clashed with Israel forces in villages of Bayada and Shamaa. Weapons, including anti-tank missiles, were found in a school in Khiam.
Over 1,100 people have been killed, and over one million displaced in Lebanon. The UN refugee agency’s representative in Lebanon warned of the risk of humanitarian catastrophe.
