Jamahl Mosley Joins New Orleans Pelicans for Five-Year Deal

Jamahl Mosley has reportedly been selected as the new head coach for the New Orleans Pelicans, securing a five-year contract. ESPN was first to report this development.

Mosley will replace Willie Green, who was dismissed by the Pelicans following an abysmal 2-10 record last season. Prior to that, Mosley led the Orlando Magic to three consecutive playoff appearances.

Despite his success with the Magic, he was let go by the team, making him a hot commodity in the coaching market. The Pelicans executives were reportedly close with Mosley after Green’s dismissal, leading to his signing.

Social media users have praised Mosley as one of the brightest coaching minds in the league, citing his playoff credibility. However, some critics argue that this move does not signify progress for the Pelicans and instead reflects their contentment with mediocrity.
