Judge Arshad Javed is overseeing several high-profile cases related to the May 9 events, including those involving PTI leaders Azam Swati, Omar Ayub, and others.

This incident follows a similar attack on August 2, when two policemen were killed during an assault on a convoy carrying judges in Dera Ismail Khan. Although the convoy, which included Additional Judge Tang Hasnain and others, came under fire, the judges were unharmed.
