K-Electric (KE) has officially announced the opening of applications for the 4th edition of the KHI Awards 2025, starting from December 1, 2024. This initiative aims to recognize and celebrate institutional-level philanthropy by honoring not-for-profit organizations, social enterprises, and other entities driving impactful social and environmental projects across Karachi, Dhabeji, Gharo in Sindh, and Uthal, Vinder, and Bela in Balochistan.
The KHI Awards, launched in 2021, have become a significant platform for celebrating positive contributions to society. KE has processed 110 million in electricity rebates through the first three cohorts of the awards. To date, 108 organizations have been recognized through an independent and transparent process, positively impacting millions of lives across various sectors.
This year, the awards will cover 14 categories, addressing critical areas such as healthcare, education, women empowerment, safety, and sustainability, among others. In its previous edition, the initiative received over 150 entries, showcasing the credibility and wide reach of the platform in acknowledging impactful work in the community.
KE’s efforts extend beyond the energy sector, supporting institutions involved in areas like heritage and culture, digital accessibility, and financial inclusion. The company aims to foster a broader culture of support and care within Karachi’s diverse communities, acknowledging the work of those who strive to make the city better.
The theme for KHI Awards 2025 is “The Spirit of Service for a Brighter Environment”, emphasizing collaboration to build a sustainable, vibrant future. Organizations are invited to apply in categories that best align with their work. An esteemed and independent jury of experts will ensure a fair, transparent, and unbiased evaluation process.
KE encourages organizations of all sizes, from small community groups to large institutions, to take part and showcase their impactful work in society. For more details on the application process, visit: KHI Awards 2025.
