K-P to Establish Rs1b AI Authority for Improved Governance

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government is taking significant steps to position the province as a hub for modern technology. Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan announced this on Saturday.

Under Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s leadership, practical measures are being taken to deliver tech-based public services and bolster modern governance.

Shafi Jan emphasized that making Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa a center of modern technology is the government’s top priority.

Several key projects have been included in this year’s budget to achieve this objective. The minister revealed plans to establish the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Artificial Intelligence Authority at a cost of Rs1 billion.

The AI Authority aims to promote artificial intelligence use in public services, enhance efficiency in government systems, and advance AI in education.
