Mbappe Leads France Past Paraguay, Sets Up Morocco Quarter-Final

France secured a crucial victory over Paraguay with a late penalty from Kylian Mbappe, advancing to the quarter-finals in the World Cup.

Paraguay’s strategy worked well for most of the game against France at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, where 68,324 fans watched under sweltering heatwave conditions.

Mbappe converted his spot-kick on 70 minutes after Desire Doue was fouled by Diego Gomez, breaking through Paraguay’s stubborn resistance and setting up a quarter-final clash with Morocco.

France’s Mbappe continues to shine in the tournament, joining Lionel Messi as joint-top scorer with seven goals.
