Karachi Business Guild, led by Patron-in-Chief Farhan-ur-Rehman and Chairman Faraz-ur-Rehman, hosted a grand Dawat-e-Nahari and Award Ceremony to honor Javed Alam Odho, the Commissioner of Police Karachi (CCPO).

The event, which took place to acknowledge Odho’s tireless efforts in maintaining law and order in Karachi, was attended by key figures from various sectors of the city. Faraz-ur-Rehman highlighted the pressing need to establish a committee similar to the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).

He proposed that such a committee work in collaboration with the local government to revitalize Karachi. “Creating a committee on the lines of the CPLC is crucial for collaborating with local authorities to bring vibrancy back to Karachi. Our goal at the Karachi Business Guild is to support the city’s development and progress,” Faraz-ur-Rehman stated.

Javed Alam Odho, who was honored with the award, expressed his gratitude, remarking, “Restoring law and order is my primary responsibility. I am deeply thankful for this recognition.”

Zubair Chaya also spoke at the event, emphasizing the significance of Karachi’s development, stating, “Karachi is the heart of Pakistan, and focusing on its growth is synonymous with advancing the entire nation.”

Farhan-ur-Rehman, Patron-in-Chief of the Karachi Business Guild, extended his thanks to all attendees, noting, “We appreciate the efforts of those who serve Karachi. Such recognition ensures that their hard work is remembered and valued.” Faraz-ur-Rehman further praised the Karachi Police’s current campaign targeting the display of illegal weapons, fancy number plates, and tinted windows. He commended Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi Range Javed Alam Odho for his leadership in this crucial initiative.

“The campaign against illegal displays is a significant step towards restoring peace and order in Karachi. I fully support Javed Alam Odho’s efforts to make Karachi a safer and crime-free city,” he said. Rehman reiterated the need for a new committee akin to the CPLC to work alongside local government officials, urging the public to support this initiative for a safer and more peaceful Karachi.
