Karachi to Experience Scorching Heat Today: PMD

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted another day of intense heat for Karachi, with temperatures expected to peak at 37-38 degrees Celsius. However, due to high humidity levels, it will feel as hot as 50-55 degrees Celsius.

Humidity levels in the city are predicted to range between 65-75%, with northwesterly winds blowing at 16 kilometers per hour.

Over the next 24 hours, northeastern Balochistan, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan might experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain. There is also a chance of hail and heavy rainfall in parts of northeastern Balochistan and southern KP, while the rest of the country will face hot and dry weather.

In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, partly cloudy skies are expected along with potential thunderstorms and gusty winds. Evening showers accompanied by lightning are also possible.

Several districts in KP, including Kohat, Karak, Chitral, Dir, Buner, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, and Karak, are likely to see thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain.

In Punjab, the hill stations of Murree and Galiyat are also forecasted to experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain.
