KATSEYE’s Manon Bannerman Takes Break For Health Reasons

Manon Bannerman announced on Friday, February 20, her decision to take a hiatus from the group activities of KATSEYE for health and wellbeing purposes. The six-member girls’ group, which includes Manon, Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, and Megan Skiendiel, revealed this news on their official X account (previously Twitter).

Bannerman’s statement reads: “Hello. After open and thoughtful conversations among all of us, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.”

KATSEYE emphasized in their announcement: “We remain committed to showing up for one another and our fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time. We look forward to being together again when the right moment arrives.” They added, “Fully supporting Manon’s decision,” they expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.”

Bannerman, a 23-year-old Swiss singer and model, shot to stardom with KATSEYE after their appearance in the Netflix competition series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE. The group has now taken a break from their activities but remains committed to supporting each other through this transition period.
