Kazakh and Uzbek Presidents to Visit Pakistan in Early February

Amid growing momentum in Pakistan’s engagement with Central Asia, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are scheduled to visit Pakistan in the first week of February.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold high-level meetings during their respective visits, with several key agreements expected to be signed to deepen bilateral cooperation.

During his visit, President Tokayev is scheduled to inaugurate a chess centre at the Islamabad Sports Complex, reflecting expanding people-to-people and cultural engagement between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

President Mirziyoyev’s visit will focus on strengthening regional connectivity and economic ties. Discussions are expected to include progress on the Pakistan-Uzbekistan railway project, a key initiative aimed at enhancing trade and transport links between South and Central Asia.
