Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned the public against discord sown by the US. In a statement from Tehran during the new Parliament session opening, Khamenei said the US seeks to create social divisions within Iran after failing in war and economic pressure campaigns.

The supreme leader urged for national unity and solidarity, noting that recent circumstances have seen extraordinary unity among Iranians. He stressed strengthening this cohesion while acknowledging the enemy’s aim to deepen societal rifts as a means of compensating military failures.

Khamenei also called on parliamentarians to focus on public issues, national reconstruction, and economic challenges. He emphasized the legislative body’s role in national development, urging lawmakers to work with the government while preserving their independence. The leader further stated that laws should address essential needs and inspire hope for future progress.
