King Charles hosted a private dinner at Windsor Castle to mark the first anniversary of Rahim Al-Hussaini’s accession as Aga Khan V. The palace posted a photo on their official social media, showing Charles dressed in a Windsor Coat dinner jacket standing next to the Aga Khan, who wore a black suit with a bow tie. Charles granted him the title “His Highness,” while UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper signed a Memorandum of Understanding reinforcing over four decades of partnership between the Ismaili Imamat and the UK.
“This comes as Charles finally threw out his ‘disgraced’ brother, Andrew, from the Royal Lodge in light of newly released Epstein files,” noted a friend to The Sun. “Andrew had initially planned to stay at the lodge for a little longer, but with the latest batch of Epstein files making it clear he needed to leave, he chose to depart under cover of darkness. Leaving was particularly humiliating for Andrew, who hadn’t wanted an emotional goodbye amidst Royal Lodge’s family memories. Additionally, his appearance driving around Windsor laughing and appearing unperturbed by recent headlines didn’t sit well with the Royal Household.”
The private dinner served as a contrast to Charles’ handling of Andrew’s situation, highlighting both the formal nature of official engagements and the sensitive personal drama within the royal household.
