
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government allows hunting of Russian doves till May 31 under strict regulations. According to Wildlife Department, this will continue until May 31, 2026, as per Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife and Biodiversity Act 2015.
Permission granted only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for individuals with valid small game shooting licences. Officials stated that daily limit is eight birds per hunter; those exceeding the limit will face a fine of Rs5,000 per bird along with legal action.
Hunting before sunrise or after sunset has been banned completely. Authorities warned that hunting outside designated days would lead to immediate legal action. Wildlife teams will monitor bird populations and may impose a ban if required.
