Lady Gaga Encourages Community Love with Super Bowl Ad ‘Show Up’ for Neighbors

Lady Gaga advised people to “show up” for their neighbors with love and kindness in her Super Bowl ad, which she co-created for Redfin and Rocket during Super Bowl LX.

In an email interview with People, the Grammy-winning artist reflected on one of her earliest memories as a child. Growing up in a diverse neighborhood, she learned that belonging isn’t limited to looking or living like others. This experience has shaped her belief in the importance of showing kindness and support for everyone.

“Looking out for your neighbors,” Gaga emphasized, “is something I carry with me everywhere. It’s the foundation of everything I believe about kindness.”

When people are scared and uncertain, she noted that they often forget how impactful a single act of kindness can be. This insight led to the formation of her Born This Way Foundation, which she established alongside her mother.

“Kindness is about seeing someone who looks different from you and affirming their worth,” Gaga explained. “It takes courage to acknowledge and respect those who are different.”

The singer also highlighted the current state of pain in America: targeted communities, invisible families, and young people feeling hopeless. She believes that during these times of hurt, love is the most powerful response.

“Every single day, I believe one of the most radical things any of us can do is choose kindness,” Gaga said. “Kindness is a free currency from a well that will never dry up. We must show up for our neighbors, especially those who feel most alone.”

Her message serves as a reminder to prioritize acts of kindness and unity in times of adversity.
