Ten government school rooftops allocated for Basant in inner Lahore
Lahore authorities have allocated rooftops of 10 government schools in inner city areas for kite-flying activities associated with the Basant festival. The move follows reports submitted to the School Education Department by the Lahore Education Authority.
The selected schools include Government High Schools at Bhati Gate, Delhi Gate, Syed Mitha Bazaar, and Shah Alam Gate. Also included are Government Victoria Girls High School, Takiya Sadhwan, Kabli Mill, and Chuna Mandi. Supervisory staff at these schools have been directed to remain on duty round-the-clock for three days during Basant.
Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners will visit the schools to review arrangements. In case of poor management or negligence, concerned heads will be held accountable.
