
A Lahore court granted an extension to the interim bail for TikTokers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Nani Wala, until February 16 in connection with their alleged promotion of a gambling app. The bail extension was approved during a hearing held on Monday at the Lahore Sessions Court by Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmad Qureshi.
The case involves allegations by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) that the TikTokers have promoted a gambling application, which has led to them being arrested and their previous bail period expiring. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the investigation into their alleged involvement in promoting the gambling app had not yet been concluded.
The investigating officer requested more time to complete the report detailing the investigation findings. The judge had previously granted this request for additional time. Consequently, the court extended the interim bail of both accused parties until February 16.
