Lahore CTO Bars Heavy Bikes from CBD Boulevard
The Lahore Traffic Commissioner (CTO) has announced a ban on heavy bikes using the CBD Boulevard. The decision was taken due to safety concerns and disruptive activities by riders.
According to Syed Abdul Rahim, heavy bike riders often engage in racing, speeding, and making noise, which prompted the traffic police to take action against them.
The CTO has instructed divisional and circle officers to enforce the ban under their supervision. Special instructions have been given to night shift traffic police across the city to monitor violations with Safe City cameras.
No form of mob violence or road blocking will be allowed, according to the CTO. The commissioner also directed the police to identify those involved in wheelie stunts and register cases against them.
CTO Abdul Rahim urged parents to keep an eye on their children’s activities as speeding can be fatal. Special checks for heavy vehicles have been implemented to ensure safe travel.
