LFW in Lahore Celebrates Renewal with Vibrant Spring Collection

LAAM Fashion Week (LFW) in Lahore welcomed its second day with a diverse array of collections celebrating both traditional and contemporary aesthetics. The opening collection by Agha Noor’s Basant showcased vibrant designs inspired by the festive spirit of Basant, blending elegance with optimism through flowing silhouettes. A palette of sunlit yellows, fuchsia florals, and fresh greens highlighted the season’s abundance. Layered in airy organza, fluid silk, and chiffon, these pieces were designed for traditional celebrations.

Meanwhile, Panache Apparel’s Mistfall collection drew from nature’s calmness within outdoor living spaces. Made with softly printed fabrics and airy textures, these garments aimed to provide comfort during warmer months.

Urge Pret presented Gulrang by the brand, which embodied a composed expression of strength and timeless beauty. The collection was inspired by the natural grace of blooming flowers, designed for women whose presence exuded assurance and groundedness.

Izna Hamza’s Allure by Sun at Noon offered a cross-cultural dialogue between African heritage and Pakistani craftsmanship. Tribal geometry, ceremonial silhouettes, and earthy landscapes influenced designs featuring refined tailoring and intricate hand embroidery.

Bin Tayyab showcased his collection with inspiration from classical architecture and traditional artistry. Intricate hand embellishments, layered textures, and graceful silhouettes defined muted jewel tones, reflecting sophistication while highlighting ensemble richness.

Pehnawa by Bin Akram’s Amarbail featured South Asian heritage through a softer, more intimate lens. The brand reimagined tradition with contemporary grace, using rich fabrics like tissue, raw silk, zari organza, and badlazari to enhance movement and historical resonance. Delicate embroidery details added to each garment, including tilla, chatapatti, goti, sitara, beads, sequins, and hand-finished tassels.

Maheen Kardar’s Dilruba marked a triumphant return after a decade-long hiatus. The collection celebrated excess, emotion, and identity through Desi maximalism reimagined with contemporary proportions and movement suitable for festive occasions like Eid, monsoon weddings, and more.

Meraki by Deepak & Fahad explored craft, color, and artistic expression. Inspired by traditional ikkat weaving technique, the brand revived this art form using pure cotton yarn in intricate hand-woven patterns complemented by styling pieces made of linen. Color palettes drew from Mark Rothko’s works, reflecting his colors, moods, and abstract simplicity.

Suroor by Sadaf Fawad Khan explored a dialogue between heritage and contemporary couture. The showcase presented two distinct collections: one revisited traditional aesthetics with refined silhouettes and restrained detailing for a timeless expression of elegance, while the other highlighted bold structures, rich embellishment, and theatrical scale in a contemporary couture context.

The finale showcased The Conclave of Anti-Fashion by Fahad Hussayn, presenting garments rooted in rebellion, permanence, and identity. Inspired by clothing as ideology, silhouettes were conceived as ritual objects rather than seasonal statements. Color stories supported sculptural forms and symbolic detailing, developing under the Academy’s Art Collective.

The showcase concluded with musical performances by Sheryar Rehman, Natasha Baig, and Nehaal Naseem.
