Lahore High Court Disposes Contempt Case Against Kasur DPO
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum presided over a hearing for a contempt of court petition against District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur. The case was dismissed following the submission of a report to the court.
During proceedings, Chief Justice questioned the DPO about an incomplete report and whether such reports were routinely submitted before the court. She criticized the report’s lack of proper references, dates, and other necessary details.
Assistant Advocate General Waqas informed the court that the response was rushed due to which the petition disposal letter could not be attached with the report. The DPO then apologized for the oversight and promised greater care in future submissions.
