Tremors were widely felt in cities including Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Swabi, Swat, Abbottabad, and Mansehra. In Punjab, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Okara, Chiniot, and Toba Tek Singh reported shaking. Gilgit and Kotli in Azad Kashmir also experienced tremors.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but residents across affected areas were seen evacuating buildings in precaution.

Just days earlier, on April 12, a 5.5-magnitude quake rattled Islamabad and several cities across KP, including Swat, Mansehra, Mardan, and Lakki Marwat, as well as parts of central Punjab like Chiniot, Sheikhupura, and Attock.

Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) continues to monitor seismic activity, as the region remains vulnerable due to its location near active fault lines.
