Matt Damon recently spoke about his co-star Charlize Theron in an interview with Elle magazine. The film, “The Odyssey,” directed by Christopher Nolan and based on Homer’s epic, features Damon as Odysseus and Theron as Calypso.

Damon praised Theron, saying she is a formidable woman and great actress. He noted that Theron won the genetic lottery in terms of aging compared to him.

“The Odyssey” marks their second collaboration, following “The Legend of Bagger Vance” 26 years ago. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Elliot Page, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, and Travis Scott. It is set to release in theaters and IMAX on July 17, 2026.
